It’s the new year!

January 2026 | Emily Lyons, Director

As we step into a season of new beginnings, we’re excited for all the fresh starts, little resets, and joyful moments that come with learning together at school—whether it’s trying something new in the classroom, making new friends, or rediscovering the fun in everyday routines. This time of year is a wonderful reminder that every day offers a chance to grow, laugh, and begin again, and we’re grateful to share those moments with your children.

Looking ahead, we’re also gearing up for another great year: registration for the Fall 2026/2027 school year opens on January 12th.

I love that Anothen has such a strong community. Please know we truly want everyone to continue with us here! I am available to answer any questions on what next year might look like for your child and how we are continuing to improve our beautiful campus!

Thank you for joining us and being a part of this very special community!

The Goodness of God

Angie Williams, Education Director

In our January chapel, we’ll be exploring the wonderful GOODNESS of God! Through the parable of the Good Samaritan, students will see. how helping others shows the Fruit of the Spirit—goodness—growing in us when we walk alongside Him. We’ll also look at some of Jesus’ miracles to discover how He shows goodness in both big and small ways. As we begin this new year, we’re reminded that God’s goodness is constant and comforting, guiding us in every season of trials and triumphs. We look forward to helping students notice the many ways God cares for them each day and how they can share His goodness with others.

As we learn about God’s goodness we will also celebrate the incredible gift of salvation. To learn about salvation we read a story using colors to help students understand God’s big story—green for creation, black for sin, red for God’s love, white for forgiveness, blue for baptism through faith, yellow for eternal life, and purple for Jesus as King. As we talk about God’s goodness, we’ll celebrate the incredible gift of salvation—His loving invitation to forgiveness, hope, and new life through Jesus. January is a wonderful time to remember this gift and to encourage students to walk in the light of God’s grace each day.
